We are actually born with only two fears: the fear of falling and the fear of loud noises. Rest all fears are created in our mind by us on the basis of perception we had by our past experiences in our day to day life.

There are few people that are afraid of dogs, a small number that are afraid of spiders, others who are afraid of snakes and many more. If you add up all the other fears – heights, snakes, spiders, altogether, it probably would be a smaller number than public speaking. But do you also know Phobias can really be cured in 5 Minutes with Advanced NLP.

Do you know that speaking in public is worse than death? Which means that the person standing near a coffin is more fearful than the one laying in it.

What phobia is the fear of speaking?

The fear and anxiety of speaking in public is called glossophobia. You must have noticed people who if being called upon in a public gathering to talk for about 2 minutes, they hesitate and refused instantly. Those are the ones suffering from glossophobia. Not only this, others also start feeling some kind of nervousness and anxiety and start looking here and there to avoid eye contact. Matter of fact 74% of people suffer from speech anxiety.

There are other shocking public speaking fear facts – from losing compensation by 10% to lack of success and much more

Public speaking is the number one fear which maximum people have on this planet earth. I firmly believe it is the education system of today which forces the students to talk on the topic against their will on which they are not confident enough or not comfortable to speak about. A person needs to be in a happy mode or a relaxed mode in order to perform its best.

At times of public speaking we tend to think too much about ourselves and too little about our audience.

It is because you have a fear of failing, a fear of looking silly in front of others, when all the time the others really want you to succeed at public speaking.

Do you succeed at everything else you do first time? Probably sometimes but I daresay not all the time.

How can NLP can help with public speaking?

:Ajay, the First Indian who is a 100% Visually Challenged Motivational Speaker (100% Blind) discovered his true self through NLP.

Physiological change: we need to observe our physiology while standing in front of a group of audience. We need to identify which of the body patterns is un-resourceful and has to be avoided in order to bring us in peak state.

Anchoring: It is one of the most useful technique used in NLP. It enables a person to get into peak state which they had experienced before. Here a person is able to access the state of excellence when they were confident or in calm state.

Visualization: It is one of the NLP secrets or which you may have read about in the book The Secret by Rhonda Byrne, although you will discover the emphasis in NLP in a little different way. Visualize the thing that you want.  See it, feel it, believe in it.  Make your mental blue print, and begin to build.

Swish pattern: The NLP Swish Pattern is used to break limiting behaviours or unwanted habits. Many people have been able to use this process in order to overcome nervousness whilst public speaking or presenting, others have used it to quit smoking or gain confidence.

Swish pattern is also used to help people quit smoking.
Ain Ain Shahidi is one such example who threw away all his cigarettes and got completely cured.

Slow Breathing: This technique also helps to feel relax and stay at peace while public speaking. Deep breathing supplies more oxygen to brain thereby making our sensory and motor centers active and function effectively.
